RTE say Ryan Tubridy is currently out of contract with the broadcaster.
In a statement it said having left the Late Late Show, the presenter's contract negotiated in 2020 ended.
Negotiations had started on his radio responsibilities, but have been paused.
In a statement issued to Today FM News the public broadcaster said, "Ryan Tubridy stood down from The Late Late Show in May.
"RTÉ has written to his agent that the contract (including all arrangements therein) has come to an end.
"Negotiations had commenced regarding his radio responsibilities.
"Those negotiations have been paused as with all negotiations as per Board statement."
At the Oireachtas Media Committee earlier today the interim Director General of RTÉ Adrian Lynch confirmed that Ryan Tubridy's contract negotiations had been "suspended", but continued to say that he is still being paid.
Today FM News has requested a comment from Ryan Tubridy's representatives.
Yesterday, RTÉ issued a "comprehensive" statement detailing who knew about the secret payments to its highest-paid presenter.
In it, RTÉ said no member of it's executive board other than former Director General Dee Forbes could have known the public was misled on payments to Ryan Tubridy.
Former Director General of RTÉ Dee Forbes will not be attending an Oireachtas Media Committee today for 'health reasons'.
The powerful Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee is due to discuss the secret payments at a meeting on Thursday.
