Ryan Tubridy and his agent Noel Kelly have offered to appear before the Oireachtas Media Committee next week.
In a letter, to the committee chair through solicitors, Mr Tubridy and Mr Kelly say they have important information to assist the committee in its work.
Both have said they are prepared to submit themselves to questioning, with the solicitor's letter saying their clients believe they have 'important information' that will help the investigation and clarify matters.
RTÉ has also confirmed the presenter will remain off air saying it has "legal obligations".
It said where "matters related to the presenter are of public interest, it is not appropriate for the presenter to be on air."
Meanwhile, it emerged last night that a number of other barter accounts were held by the RTÉ which were used to pay for around €1.6 million in hospitality.
That's despite senior officials at the State broadcaster stating last week that only one barter account was in existence.
Public Expenditure Minister Michael McGrath, says RTÉ providing inaccurate information to an Oireachtas Committee last week is a "serious matter".
" The answer couldn't have been more straightforward and clearly, it was wrong. It was inaccurate.
"This is a further embarrassment for RTÉ coming in the midst of what is a very serious crisis for them and it's just not good enough.
"They will be faced with vigorous questioning today by the committee members. The information given last week was simply inaccurate".
