Dublin's Rotunda Hospital has reached its fundraising goal to buy a new Ultrasound Machine for sick babies.
More than 2,300 people have helped to raise over €78,000 for Ireland's busiest maternity hospital.

Its current ultrasound machine is around 8 years old, and staff were beginning to see a deterioration in the quality of the images it produces.
The Rotunda foundation has thanked everyone who has donated to the fundraiser:
In a statement, it says :
"The Rotunda foundation would like to sincerely thank all the donors for their wonderful donations and for helping us reach our goal! The generosity of people never ceases to amaze us! We will keep this fundraiser open until the 14th of January. The NICU would greatly benefit from your continued donations. All donations to this page will do to funding vital equipment used for the care of premature infants."
