Zimbabwe’s controversial former president Robert Mugabe has died in hospital at the age of 95.
He'd been battling ill health and passed away early this morning.
He was removed from office in a military coup in 2017, after spending 37 years in power.
The 95-year-old is believed to have died in Singapore where he had often received treatment in recent years.
Current President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced his predecessor's death on Twitter:
