The Revenue Commissioners has taken out ads in today's papers in an effort to dispel confusion and concern over property tax payments.
There's been widespread criticism of the payments system that will see home-owners charged for the 2014 tax this month if they choose to pay by debit or credit card.
Following a meeting with Minister for Finance last night - Revenue boss Josephine Feehily gave a commitment to fully outline all the payment options to the public.
Revenue has placed public information notices in today's papers and say officials will continue to give interviews to radio and tv in order to clarify the situation to homeowners.
Josephine Feehily is also facing questions on the issue when she appears before the Oireachtas Finance Committee on Thursday.
Extra staff are also to be made available to man the helpline.
The issue will be discussed at the cabinet meeting this morning.
