It came out on top with just over 28,000 mentions on the photo-sharing site.
Silverstrand in Donegal and Tramore in Waterford complete the top three.
Digital Funnel, analysed Instagram hashtag data in order to determine which beach is posted most frequently online.
Co. Kerry had the highest number of seaside mentions on Instagram, featuring in beaches 46,950 posts on the social media platform.
Co. Donegal comes a close second with 38,448 mentions.
