The Restaurants Association of Ireland is calling for compensation as result of water restrictions in Dublin.

Water shortages have been extended until at least next Thursday and the move is set to affect more than 1.5 million people across Dublin, Kildare and county Wicklow.

Businesses say they're frustrated at a lack of information from the City Council while many restaurants and hotels have been forced to make contingency plans to see them through the weekend period.
