Two Garda reports into the removal of Roma children from their families in Dublin and Athlone have now been handed over to the Justice Minister.
Alan Shatter will now study the reports and pass them to the Children's ombudsman Emily Logan who will conduct an independent examination of the cases last month.
Minister Shatter says the terms of reference for that inquiry will now been drawn up.
Earlier today reports conducted by the HSE into the children's removal from their families were presented to the Children's Minister Frances Fitzgerald, who's also now referred them on to Emily Logan.
