A new record number of covid-19 patients are now being treated in hospital.
The latest figures show that 921 people are receiving treatment this morning.
That's up from 817 yesterday morning.
76 covid-19 patients are receiving care in ICU.
HSE CEO Paul Reid said earlier this week that there is scope to boost intensive care capacity to 450 beds.
However, former President of the Intensive Care Society is Catherine Motherway - hopes we don't get to that point.
She said "It is really important that actually, we try to contain the disease before we get to the ICU surge. 450 would be an extremely difficult number to man well. We need to warn the public - we wouldn't be giving the normal standard of care, because we don't have that amount of staff.
