Women's Aid received a record number of calls for support in 2022.
The charity says it had 31,229 contacts with its National Freephone helpline and Regional Face-to-Face services last year.
The figures are up 16% on 2021, and are the highest in the organisation's 48-year history.
Support workers at the domestic abuse charity heard 33,990 disclosures of domestic abuse in 2022, including 5,412 reports of abuse of children.
Abuse reported included emotional, physical, sexual, and economic control and coercive control.
Chief Executive of Women's Aid, Sarah Benson, says the figures are just the tip of the iceberg.
"In 2022, Women's Aid had the largest number of contacts with our services in our history, which is nearly 50-years.
"So we had 31,229 contacts with our frontline services. A 16% increase on 2021, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. That's just Women's Aid's figures".
Ms Benson, says continued investment is needed to provide the levels of support required.
"The Government is taking it seriously, and there has been a welcome investment with a lot of really good stuff happening.
"But what these numbers tell us is that we have to do more.
"If we're inviting those who are suffering abuse to come forward, we have to continue to invest to make sure that all of the responses are there to meet their needs".
