Met Eireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for six counties.
The warning, which impacts Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford.
The forecaster says heavy rain and some spot flooding can be expected, with the warning ending tomorrow morning at 6am.
Today will also be cold with highest temperatures between 6 and 9 degrees.
But it's not all bad news for the bank holiday weekend, it's to be mainly dry and cold with a few sunny spells and passing showers.
