Met Éireann is warning heavy rain will continue today as orange and yellow level warnings remain in place until midnight.
Five counties in the south and east of the country are under an orange rain warning with thundery downpours reported overnight.
The orange rain warning for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow remains in place until midnight tonight.
A status yellow rain warning is also in effect until midnight tonight, in counties Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly and Tipperary.
