A status yellow rain warning is in effect across Cork and Kerry this morning, while later it will extend to eight more counties.
Met Eireann says precipitation of between 25mm and 35mm is expected throughout the day.
The alert for Cork and Kerry came into effect at 3am this morning, and runs until 4pm.

While, it will extend at 9am to include Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Tipperary and Waterford.
The similar warning will run until 8pm tonight.
