People have been queuing outside shops since early this morning as Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions are eased.
Non-essential retail, hairdressers, gyms and places of worship will be opening back up from today.
The Health Minister says he has no problem with lines outside shops once it’s done safely.
People are still being advised to work from home and not to mix with other households.
From today, there's also a recommendation to wear a face mask on busy streets.
Two Penneys stores in Dublin are opening for 39 hours to cope with demand.
