The PSNI has a new interim Chief Constable.
Jon Boutcher who is the former police chief of Bedfordshire in Britain, will take on the role until a permanent appointment is made.
The position opened after Chief Constable Simon Byrne resigned last month in the wake of a string of controversies - including the major PSNI data breach.
John Boucher's already well known here - for conducting an investigation into the activities of Stakeknife; the Army's top agent in Northern Ireland during the Troubles.
The policing board say the interim appointment - will bring stability to the force's leadership.
Applications for the permanent position close on Monday.
