The price of stamps will increase on March 19th.
The cost of a standard domestic stamp will rise from €1 to €1.10.
Meanwhile, the cost of a standard international stamp will increase from €1.70 to €1.80.
An Post says the increases reflect other postage price-rises throughout Europe.
The postal service said in a statement: "Increases in letter prices across Europe reflect the steady decline in traditional letter volumes globally due to e-substitution.
"An Post has invested to ensure that Ireland has one of the best postal systems in the world as it transforms from the old world of traditional letters to the new world of ecommerce parcels."
All existing stamps will remain valid after the prices change, and €0.10 stamps can be bought to make up any difference in postage costs.
