An Post has launched a new service where staff on their regular post rounds will check in on elderly and vulnerable people who are cocooning.
Post men and women will then call in while on their regular routes to see if they need help, deliver a free newspaper and even contact the charity Alone if more help is required.
The service is free and can be accessed online.
People just input a vulnerable person's address and have a member of An Post staff check in on them.
