15 pop-up vaccine centres have opened at colleges across the country today.
Thousands of students are back on campus today, as in-person learning resumes at many colleges for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
Using this as an opportunity to push up the vaccination rate, the HSE has now opened 15 walk in-centres across college campuses.
It comes as research carried out for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association shows vaccine hesitancy is at 13% among those aged 18 to 34.
Versus 9% in the overall population.
"We have clear evidence of real-time effectiveness of vaccination for Covid-19. I think strong public health messaging and safety - whether that's during trials or in the community is really helping to build public confidence," says Bernard Mallee, who is a spokesperson for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association..
The HSE hopes the new walk in centres will boost the vaccination rate among younger people, and the sites can also be used by college staff
