Three Americans have died after a plane, carrying water to help fight the Australian bushfires, crashed.
The wreckage was found in the Snowy Monaro region of New South Wales.
Officials say there was a large fireball as the aircraft hit the ground, but there's no indication yet as to what caused it.
A spokesman for Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority said the aircraft went into a valley to drop the water and didn't come out.
Meanwhile, Canberra Airport had to be closed because of flames nearby.
Residents south of the capital have been told to seek shelter.
