A pirate TV operation that could have cost the the country's two largest providers €20m has been dismantled in Cork.
It was part of ongoing investigations into the activities of an organised group.
Gardaí carried out seven searches in the city earlier today.
Representatives from Virgin Media, Sky TV and Nagra were also involved.
A significant amount of electronic equipment and documentation was seized.
Gardaí say up to 20,000 people nationwide are using these dodgy boxes.
There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
