Ryanair is introducing new fees for check in bags that will be more expensive than current prices in Winter, but cheaper in Summer.

The airline is cutting the number of bag charges down from 108 different fees, to six from May this year.
Other changes to try to boost it’s no frills image include offering passengers roomier seats, an extra inch of leg room, and planes that are ‘less yellow’ inside.

Ryanair CEO Michael OÂ’Leary says theyÂ’re averaging out the charges for check-in bags over the year, which will push up prices over Winter, but will make them cheaper during Summer.
He denies itÂ’s penalising families that do most of their travelling during the summer months.
The airline also estimates it’s lost up to 20 million euro in earnings because of recent air traffic controller strikes in Europe, and the terrorist attacks in Brussels.
