German authorities have released some slides of more than 1,000 paintings found in a rubbish strewn Munich apartment.
The works which are believed to have been stolen by the Nazi's include previously unknown masterpieces by Picasso, Matisse and Otto Dix.

Mr Gurlitt's father was tasked by the Nazis with selling valuable works stolen from Jewish collectors.
Authorities say the 1,285 unframed and 121 framed paintings, sketches and prints date back to the 16th century.
