'Options' are being examined after a new bus route through Dublin's Phoenix Park had to be shelved for a rather embarrassing reason.
The service linking Heuston station and Cabra, was to have become the first ever public bus service running through the park.
It was a key part of a transport and mobility plan for the area and included stops at the visitor centre and Dublin Zoo.
However its emerged that the park's historic gates aren't big enough for the double-decker buses to fit through.
The Irish Times reports that OPW Minister, Patrick O'Donovan, has asked the National Transport Authority to find a solution.
