Irishwoman Michaella McCollum and her Scottish friend Melissa Reid have been sentenced to six years and eight months in prison by a court in Peru after pleading guilty to drug smuggling charges.
The pair were arrested last August after cocaine was found in their luggage as they tried to board a flight at Lima airport.
They had initially said they were forced by armed men to carry the drugs, but later pleaded guilty.
It's understood the 20 year old from Dungannon, Co Tyrone and the 20 year old from Glasgow will serve at least two years in prison in Peru.
