According to a global study, people in Ireland sleep the most during the week.
The research found people here got an average of 7 hours 48 minutes of sleep per night during the week, going to bed at 11.39 pm and waking up at 7.27 am.
The study, published in Science Direct, analysed over 50 million nights of sleep from 220,000 people in 35 countries, which was gathered through wearable devices.
The study was carried out in 2021 when many parts of the world were subject to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
People in Japan get the least amount of shuteye, with people getting an average of less than 7 hours' sleep during the week.
