Pavee Point says it accepts an apology from Senator Lorraine Clifford Lee after she made derogatory remarks about travellers.
However, Co. Director Martin Collins says there are still concerns that are an internal matter for Fianna Fail.
The Fingal by-election candidate met with the Traveller group this morning after tweets emerged from 2011 where she used words like ‘knacker’ and ‘pikey’.
The organisation’s Martin Collins says Senator Clifford Lee's comments, which she apologised for, were offensive: 'Having reflected on it I think people should be allowed the space and time to think about the offense and the hurt that they have caused but I still believe that there are some issues there and some concerns and that will be a matter for the internal process for the Fianna Fail party.
