RTÉ's Director General says it's unlikely that all of the Montrose campus in Donnybrook will be sold off to help raise revenue.
Kevin Backhurst and other representatives from the State broadcaster are appearing before the Public Accounts Committee on Thursday morning.
He's outlined to TDs and Senators that RTE's Donnybrook site probably won't be sold off in its entirety.
However, Mr Bakhurst says parts of the campus could be sold.
"Among the elements being explored is the sale of more of the campus, an issue I know several of you have expressed an interest in.
"We are awaiting more up to date valuations, but early indications are that a complete sale of the Donnybrook campus is unlikely, and the repurposing of the current site will not be without challenges and significant costs".
RTÉ says it has saved 'several million euro' as a result of freezing discretionary spending and recruitment within the organisation.
It comes as, the Media and Arts Minister Catherine Martin confirmed the State's New Economy and Recovery Authority - known as NewERA - found a €21 million drop in licence fee payments this year, while a further €40 million loss is expected next year.
