The number of people claiming the pandemic unemployment payment is down 31,800 on last week.
313,800 people will receive the payment tomorrow, at a cost of €97 million to the state.
For those still on the payment, today is the final day to confirm their continued eligibility for the payment.
The top three sectors in which employees are returning to work this week are Accommodation and Food Services; Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair of Motor Vehicles and motorcycles; and Construction.
The Department of Social Protection says almost 100,000 people have closed their PUP claim over the last fortnight.
Meanwhile, more than 67,400 employers have registered for the Temporary Covid-19 Wage Subsidy Scheme.
That's helping to fund 415,000 employees wages.
