Over 56,000 units of Covid treatments were among the illegal medicines seized last year.
More than 1.6 million units of illegal medicines were detained in 2021 - including 28,000 of ivermectin.
Ivermectin is mainly used to treat parasites in horses - but has been promoted by conspiracy theorists as a Covid cure, despite a lack of evidence.
Grainne Power from the HPRA says it can be dangerous to buy medicines online:
"If you buy your medicines from trusted sources with the supervision of your doctor you can be assured what you're buying is right for you.
"And the products that have been seized have not been authorised for use to treat Covid-19 and the only way you should be using them is in the course of a clinical trial - which is supervised."
