Over-40s will find out this week when they can get a Covid booster, according to the government chief whip.
It's part of an accelerated programme that will be announced by the HSE later this week.
It will also include details of when 5 to 11-year-olds can get their vaccine.
Minister of State, Jack Chambers, says the HSE wants to administer 300,000 additional doses a week.
"The HSE will produce a revised plan to do three times - first of all, to announce the plan, and the roadmap to operationalise the vaccine for those aged between five and 11," he said.
"The HSE will also outline a date for when the over-40s will be vaccinated and we'll be able to give certainty for that as well.
"The plan will also be about facilitating additional capacity within our community healthcare infrastructure, so that we can try to get more vaccinated through GPs, pharmacies and vaccination centres."
