The Licensed Vintners Association (LVA) says its "absolutely fuming" over scenes at a Dublin venue this weekend.
Footage emerged yesterday of a party taking place at a city centre premises with no social distancing being enforced.
A barman can also be seen in the video standing on the bar pouring drink from a bottle into several people's mouths.
This is outrageous and appalling. That business should be shut down immediately.
It is not a pub and does not hold a pub licence. Clear need for inspections across the hospitality sector to ensure compliance with guidelines & licensing conditions. https://t.co/oawiehtzid— LVA (@LVADublinPubs) August 16, 2020
Chief executive of the LVA, Donal O' Keefe, says it's very damaging to the hospitality sector.
"I'm absolutely fuming, it's disgraceful behaviour.
"The business in question does not hold a pub licence - we hope the Gardaí investigate thoroughly and that the full force of the law is brought to bear.
"It's simply not acceptable, and it reinforces the need for Garda inspections of all hospitality businesses, because this type of behaviour in a public health crisis is simply not acceptable".
