A status Orange wind warning has been issued for north-western counties, as a named storm - Storm Gareth - approaches Ireland.
Storm Gareth is set to bring winds of up to 130 km/h to Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from noon tomorrow.
It will remain valid until 9am on Wednesday.
Met Eireann says there is also the risk of coastal flooding due to high seas.

The rest of the country will remain under a yellow wind warning until 6am on Wednesaday.
Meanwhile, a 12 hour status yellow rainfall warning will come in to effect for Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick from 6 o'clock this evening.
