A Status Orange warning for low temperatures and ice has been issued for most of the country tonight.
It comes into effect in 22 counties from 8pm on Tuesday until 10am on Wednesday.
The affected counties are Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Cavan, Monaghan, Munster and Connacht.

Temperatures will drop to as low as minus 8 degrees in some areas tonight.
Gritting operations have been ongoing across many counties since 4 o'clock on Tuesday, with black ice reporter in a number of areas.
