Brody McWilliams Brown was one of Ireland's first 2021 babies.
He was born at the National Maternity Hospital just four seconds after midnight.
Brody's family all comes from Sallynoggin in Dublin.
His mother Jennifer McWilliams says she had no idea her baby would be among the first of 2021:
"I had no clue until I had been induced that he would be one of the first."
"We didn't actually think that he was going to be the first."
There were also births at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise at 00:04am.
The Coombe Women and Infants Hospital at 00:24am and the Rotunda Hospital at 00:31am.
