The HSE has also confirmed between 180 and 190 thousand doses will be given across the country next week.
However, it'll be late this month or early next month before a quarter of a million jabs are being administered on a weekly basis.
HSE CEO Paul Reid says they will "largely be completing" the vaccination of 80-84 year-olds next week, while their focus will remain on over 70s and people in high-risk groups.
