Tomorrow's nationwide Nurses strike is to go ahead, after the labour court decided not to intervene.
Eight hours of talks aimed at averting the action ended without agreement last night.
It means 37,000 nurses will strike from 8am tomorrow.
It's just the second time in 100 years nurses and midwives in Ireland will go on strike.
13,000 outpatient appointments and 2,000 planned surgeries have also been cancelled due to the action.
Patients are urged to avoid going to emergency departments tomorrow, unless absolutely necessary, and to expect increased delays in admission.
👊
Nurses and midwives are going on strike for only the second time in 100 years.
They are standing up for patients and fair pay.
If you're near a picket from 8am-4pm tomorrow, drop by and show your support.
