The National Public Health Emergency Team has expressed concern about next week's lockdown exit and the planned re-opening of the economy.
Health officials are worried about the reopening of the hospitality sector in particular.
It's reported the NPHET#s advice to government is that Restaurants and Pubs should only offer take away and delivery for the entire Christmas period.
The Team raised issues about the hospitality businesses reopening in a letter to the Health Minister Stephen Donnelly.
The caution was expected by the government.
An official government announcement on the level 5 exit is due to be made tomorrow.
