New Zealand's national airline is to weigh passengers before they board their flights.
Air New Zealand will ask 10,000 customers to step on the scales as part of a month-long survey.
The data will be used to inform pilots about the weight and balance of planes before take off.
However, the airline has promised passengers there will be no visible display of their weight and all data will remain anonymous, even to staff.
