Preparations are underway across the country for this years New Years Eve's celebrations.
Limerick city will be counting down to their title as city of culture for 2014 while in Dublin the Gathering 2013 will officially be brought to a close.
The capital will begin it's celebrations at 6 o'clock this evening with a parade through the city.
