A wedding expert says couples are 'devastated and deflated' by new guidelines for weddings and that over 16,000 fewer weddings this will take place this year as a result.
Fáilte Ireland says guests will have to wear face coverings when not at the dinner table.
Only 50 people will be allowed in a function room or bar, and people will need to leave these areas by 11.30 PM.
The guidelines also say guests will not be able to share salt and pepper shakers and butter dishes and instead, guests will be provided with individual packets.
Canapés and bread will also be served individually.
