A total of 476 healthcare workers have tested positive for Covid-19 in the space of two weeks.
A third of them live in Dublin and 79 per cent are women.
Nurses or healthcare assistants account for nearly half of the cases, with doctors making up just 4 per cent.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre says the infections were recorded between September 29th and October 12th.
Healthcare workers account for nearly 22 per cent of all coronavirus cases in the Republic.
As of Monday night, there were a total of 44,668 cases here, with 9,756 involving healthcare workers.
