A nationwide status yellow snow-ice warning has been extended to Sunday.
Met Eireann announced the extension this afternoon.
The national forecaster says it will stay cold until noon on Sunday.
There will also be severe frosts at night and ice on untreated surfaces.

Tonight's Forecast
Temperatures could drop to as low as -6 degrees celcius in some parts of the country, with the coldest weather expected in Ulster .
This evening will stay cold with wintry showers, mainly in the south and east.
There will be some snow accumulations on lower levels as well.
