NASA has made space history after a helicopter was flown on Mars.
NASA announced the successful mission at a news conference in California.
It's the first ever controlled flight on another planet.
This was the moment it happened:
You wouldn’t believe what I just saw.

The mini chopper doesn't have any kit on board, and it only hovered a few metres above the surface.
However, NASA says this is a major milestone as it is the very first powered flight in the extremely thin atmosphere of Mars.
The Mars Helicopter will now perform a series of test flights over a 30-Martian-day experimental window.
Soon the NASA team will attempt additional experimental flights of incrementally farther distance and greater altitude.
After the helicopter completes its technology demonstration, Perseverance will continue its scientific mission.
