The Housing Minister says NAMA will release 450 homes next year to help people in long term homelessness.
Jan O'Sullivan says 300 units have already been released out of a total of 2,000, which will be given over by the agency by 2016.
It comes as Focus Ireland criticises the agency for failing to deliver on it's promise to use vacant units to help those with nowhere to live.
However, NAMA says it's been the most proactive of any financial institution, when it comes to releasing units for social housing.
