A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a woman in north Dublin.
The the woman, who was aged in her 40s, was found at a house in the Kilbarrack Road area in Raheny in the early hours of Thursday morning.
A man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The scene has been sealed off for a Garda technical exam and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
He has been taken to a Garda station on the northside of Dublin where he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
