Donegal is mourning the death of local Fianna Fail Councillor and motor racing champion Manus Kelly.
The 41 year old father of five was killed in a crash on stage 15 of yesterday's Donegal International Rally.
The crash happened at 12.30pm on Super Stage 15 on the Fanad Head Loop. The final stages of the rally were cancelled.
Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin has expressed deep sadness at Councillor Kelly's death.
Motorsport Ireland and Donegal Motor Club say the thoughts of the entire motorsport community are with his family and friends.
