Over €5 million in fines were handed to bus and tram operators in Dublin during the first six months of the year.
The punishment relates to operators cancelling services or not being on time.
The National Transport Authority dished out penalties of €1.5 million to Dublin Bus and €850,000 to Go Ahead.
Luas Services were also penalised, with €2.67 million euro worth of fines for cancelled services.
