Facebook has apologised after an 'embarrassing glitch' led to 'friend requests' being sent to people whose profiles had been viewed.

Facebook users, who think they may have inadvertently generated a friend request, are urged to review 'pending friend requests' in their activity log.
The issue was highlighted online last week by some users who were worried about their viewing activity being exposed.
