Marie Kondo says she's 'kind of given up' on keeping her home tidy after having three kids.
The Japanese organising consultant, says she's now prioritising family time over a clean house.
The Washington Post reports that in her latest book, “Marie Kondo’s Kurashi at Home: How to Organize Your Space and Achieve Your Ideal Life,” she expands on the Japanese concept of kurashi, or “way of life.”
Kondo says having a third child had a huge impact on her life.
Speaking during a recent media webinar, and virtual tea ceremony, she says she's putting her family before a tidy home.
"My home is messy, but the way I am spending my time is the right way for me at this time at this stage of my life”.
The queen of decluttering also says she now 'sparks joy' by doing simple rituals such as burning incense or drinking a cup of tea.
