A man in his 20s has been injured after being shot in West Dublin.
It happened at Shancastle Park in Clondalkin at around 8:45pm.
Gardaí say a lone gunman approached the victim before shooting him a number of times.
The attacker then fled the scene on foot.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Blanchardstown Hospital where his injuries are described as serious but non-life threatening.
The scene has been preserved to allow a technical examination take place.
No arrests have been made and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
They're appealing for anyone with information to contact Ronanstown Garda Station.
